Mary Sowards, 12-Year-Old Murderess – Indiana, 1888


FULL TEXT: La Porte, Ind., Nov. 13 – Mary Sowards, aged 12, has been held to the grand jury on a charge of poisoning her father. Two children of the family were rendered dangerously ill at the same time. It was shown by the coroner that the girl purchased the arsenic and administered it to the family.
